Great morning talk with my bestfreen @sweetdreadfairygrams 🙅🏾‍♀️ . . My mom use to say this all the time.. how many of you know the meaning of this phrase??? . . . She would say this EVERY TIME she would try and closer to her “family”, closer to her “friends” only to have her heartbroken! For years I watched her struggle to be accepted by the ppl who claimed to love her! It wasn’t until she was on her dying bed that the very ppl, who she spent years trying to get them to love her back, would see what they missed out on! . . I had to let my mom know that ppl make time for what and who they WANT to make time for... the phone, the internet, Hell even the mail works both ways. . . . If you find yourself as the one who is always “reaching out” first, always trying to “sugar coat” your words to please other ppl but they don’t care how and what they say or how they treat you... you welcome them into your home, into your life only for them to give you their ASS to kiss.... well that’s the time to step back and let go! . . . Jealousy, envy, and low self esteem is an ugly thing and it will turn the most wonderful connections bad, and that’s ok. . .
