I think the one in my house is the Brontosaurus one, which is also the one I remembered most clearly. I might do an entry or two on these, but I’d either have to acquire one or find Brontosaurus, because the plots were forgettable to me even back in the day. Anyway, thanks to iamthegps for the help. By searching the books you suggested and adding old edition I was able to find these.

You should see an optometrist because that may be about your eyes over straining to read small print, which means you may possibly need bifocals.Don't worry about looking dorky with bifocals. You can get pretty neat glasses and have them added on! (You're never too old for them; my boyfriend is 25 and has them. :P)

I honestly don't know... but a specific Middle Earth fancast tag - or even a blog - would be really cool. Does anyone know if there's something like this in place? And if there isn't, is anyone willing to set something like this up? Lord knows I don't have the time, but I'd be happy to promote it!
