My oc species totally original, Insectoids, are bipedal mammalians with extremely insect-like biology and physical traits
Anyways, the biggest flaw in their evolution might be their exoskeleton irt temperature regulation. their exoskeleton is leathery and covers their whole body, its cool to the touch but insectoids are warm underneith.
i think insectoids would take a long time to become a certain temperature. itd take a lot longer to warm up or cool down bc all the heat is either trapped inside, or stuck outside. but of course itd also be harder for them to get too hot or too cold in the first place
but still yeah. its good to flaw ur oc species. humans are super flawed, biologically. our bipedal stance is fuckin killer on our backs and legs so they get destroyed as we age, and dont even get me started on the size of a babies head compared to its carriers hips
