i-lived is an Indy horror/mystery movie about an aspiring Tech Youtuber, Josh who picks out a self help app to review on his channel. The app is designed to give the user challenges to accomplish to help reach their set goals. After the app brings Josh a new girlfriend, thousands more subscribers, a new mainstream job and the bettering health of his ailing mother, Josh convinces himself it was him alone who brought these things into his life and deletes the app. After deleting the app everything in his life slowly gets taken away and he realizes he needs the app to get what he wants back-but this time the challenges are deeply more unsettling and sinister. By the end of the movie anyone watching should have a crisis about the apps on their phones and what they post on them. And although the movie on its own is a good mysterious creep-fest, the thing that really makes this movie is the IRL app. Yes, there is a real i-lived app that you can download (sadly only on android) and sync up to the movie. So when Josh receives a phone call from a character we haven been introduced to yet, a phone call screen with the contact name on it and ringing comes from your phone. Along with the actually messages Josh receives from his own I-lived, extra spooks and understandings show on the screen of your own phone.
