I still love everything about the dynamic between the player, Marley, and Tonypandy/Sphinx in I, Cyborg
I used to describe it as my gal and Marley acting like divorced parents sharing custody of a child, but itβs way more like my gal, Syracuse, and Marley are disgruntled siblings trying to influence how their littlest sib turns out
With Marley being the gold-star child who can be cool at times but otherwise does little wrong, while my galβs the fun-loving Bad Girlβ’οΈ sister who really shouldnβt be the kidβs go-to role model but they take after her more anyway and that aggravates the ever-loving hell out of Marley
Marley glowers as you sell your last bottle of wine. βIf thereβs even one injury as a result of this, I will personally hunt you down and chop off your corresponding parts with a mining pick.β

Marley opens a door marked FAMILY ONLY. βWe need some privacy for what I want to talk about. Little Syracuse Junior can stay where they are.β
Syracuse: βDonβt do anything I wouldnβt do, kid.β
βBelay that.β Marley says. βDonβt do anything I wouldnβt do.β

Syracuse: Thatβs a relief, I was starting to think Helen didnβt like me.β
Marley: βOh, donβt worry, she doesnβt.β

βIs that your little tagalong messing with my cargo dolly?β
Syracuse: βMarley, I got this. Sphinx, put that back.β
Marley: βAm I supposed to be grateful? You brought them here.β
