Right as I felt myself burning out on directionless wandering, I decide to start trying to progress the actual plot. I complete the mission that results in the cutscene where Ignis gets blinded. For one reason or another I stop playing immediately after this mission ends for two solid real-life years.

I decide I want to play again, remembering all the fun I had adventuring, so I turn the game on and go to do the mission the game placed near where I last saved. Ignis suddenly walks up to Noctis and asks, "Should I come with you?"

I choose to have him come immediately like "wth kind of question is that? Yes??? The boys must stick together???"

I start running around the mission relearning all the controls and get into my first fight of the game in two years.

I only remember Ignis is newly blind when I happen to turn the camera mid-fight and finally see him flailing around swinging blindly with his cane at open air and then falling over.

Out loud I just go "OH GOD I FUCKED UP"

The generic baby cry sound byte at the very start of the first scene in Yomi no Tsugai might be the exact same one used in the deleted song outtake from Frozen "We Know Better" :V (sound from 00:39-00:42 is very distinct lol)
