well, it's been going pretty steady. but that is mostly because this is more of a Kakashi and Iruka centric project, so I've only been focused on their existence making sense and not the greater scheme of things

basically, the original problem is that there is a lot of contradicting statements regarding what ages characters were at certain points of the story, and it is particularly bad with Kakashi. you would think that he is significantly younger than his peers based on some info, but then other stuff ages him up?

it's super weird.

my timeline is pieced together under the assumption that Kakashi is 13 during the Nine Tails Attack, while Iruka was 10. everything else is built from there

this is what i have so far (again, the events are from Kakashi's life)

Iruka and Kakashi have a gap of 2 years 8 months according to this timeline, which makes sense imo. i'm very much assuming when in the year a lot of things happen, but it's been working so far

calculating other character's age is rather easy from here. but i do think that most of Kakashi's peers should be at least two years older than him for everything to make sense. so, Rin and Obito are around 14 for the Kannabi Bridge incident
