This is Lenne; a elvhen mage from Kirkwall’s Circle who was made Tranquil when she tried to protect a younger apprentice from a Templar. She escaped with other mages when the Kirkwall Chantry was destroyed, but was subsequently captured by Tevinter Slavers.  Lenne who had a knack with both magical theory and languages was then bought by Lord Livius Erimond. Many of her fellow Tranquil were killed and their skulls used to create the ocularums across Thedas. She, however, was spared to be used to further the Elder One’s (Corypheus’) plans. Consequently, she was brought by Erimond to the Western Approach and was with him when the Inquisition attacked Adamant Fortress.  She was thrown into the Fade when the Red Lyrium Dragon attacked and forced the Inquisitor to open a rift. There, her mind was touched by a Spirit of Purpose. Not only did this allow her to retain herself when she finally escaped the Fade, but allowed her to control the influx of emotion experienced by a person whose tranquility was reversed. The spirit travelled the fade with her and helped her to save Hawke who had stayed behind to fight the Nightmare Demon. Together they were guided by Purpose to leave the Fade and were brought back to Skyhold by Inquisition scouts remaining in the Western Approach.
