“No… touching.” David whined. The ache in his belly was still very much present, despite having sprawled himself over most of the bed. “I have never eaten so much food... in my life.”

Patrick grunted beside him, body curled inwards. His fingers were reaching across the blankets towards David, but mercifully he’d aborted his attempts at spooning.

“I feel like that Monty Python sketch. One wafer mint and I’ll burst.” Patrick said with a laugh, which quickly became a pained groan. “Not quite the romantic anniversary I’d planned.”

David turned his head towards Patrick, biting back a smile.

alkkdlflgkfkllkfkfldldk thank you so much, you’re so kind ;w; <3 I’m glad it doesn’t feel like I’m just repeating the same things over and over again in different ways to make it more emotional and too long (in a recent zine piece-making process, my main critique was that I use too many redundant adjectives in a row, when I could easily say the same thing in much fewer words, which, is totally fair OTL). That’s something I worry about losing people with, becoming too rambly and repetitive...... I just have a lot of emotions!!!! about everything!!!!! and need to say a lot to hammer them in as much as I feel them!!! alkdfllkgkl

I’ve been working on a Merthur fic for the past few days; it’s a one-shot inspired by a phrase @inkspillsnotebook sent me (bless ily), and since i posted the most recent wip... it’s all i’ve got lol

first line: “You really are daft.”

first line of 10th paragraph: There was a flash in Arthur’s eyes, and his hand twitched by his side, as though impulse drove him to seize his sword.

last line written: “My word may not mean much, but I swear I don’t want you dead. “

line from a part that hasn’t yet been written: Merlin brushed his thumb over the calluses on his palm, spurring his horse ahead so that Arthur could not see his face.
