re: gym circuits and badge collection
In addition to challenging the Kanto gym circuit, Blue has gone through most of the Johto and Sinnoh gyms.
She jumped into the Johto circuit right after her loss to Red for the Champion title, feeling invigorated and ready to get stronger with the ultimate goal of facing off against him again. Unfortunately, she never got the chance to battle Clair, as she had just won her Glacier badge when she got word of Red disappearing up Mt. Silver without a trace. She spent the next several weeks climbing the mountain looking for him but she never found him. Afterward, she lost all drive and didn't have it in her to return to Blackthorn for a shot at the Rising badge so she never completed her set nor challenged the League a second time.
Her journey through Sinnoh took her through collecting badges as well, until it came to a hard stop at the Sunyshore gym. Volkner was nowhere to be found at the time and Blue grew too impatient after a couple of weeks. It was around this time that Professor Rowan agreed to take her on as an assistant, so she moved on to become an evolution researcher.
To this day, it bothers her that she's missing one badge each from her second and third sets.
