Fuck windows with a sideways cactus. I DO NOT want to be forced into an ai machine that only runs on apps and is optimized for ipad babies. My laptop is already like 7 years old how am I supposed to function when I have to replace it and I can't buy a windows 10 or earlier? I just love that I set my computer to update yesterday at 4 o'clock. I love even more that the computer says it is 1% updated. This is a great morning.
Okay i have,,, so much respect for light people, its so hard not screaming about everything literally,,,
i've been trying to get threema to work for hours now, doing so much more than i ever planned on doing, and i am currently actually debating myself wether i should keep the app altogether.
The only person I write to there is my kid.
And sure, SMS doesn't allow for pictures, which is so far the only argument left for me to keep going with threema. Because we do share pictures there more than anything else.
(I am once again wondering if any messaging app has a checklist feature. I would really like to have checkboxes.)
The thing is that the one file I really really wanted to get back again can apparently not be found. It is apparently not in the backup files, according to the chat texts. And the thing that makes me furious is that the text where I stored the daylio backup, which I made AFTER the loop habit tracker backup, is there. I was able to restore that no issue whatsoever.
But I do need the loop backup. And I can't find it.
I also had to update my typewise (i kept to the 2.6.3 version because the keys there are just SLIGHTLY bigger, which you can't SEE, but I could definitely tell by the fact that I suddenly made an enormous amount of typos after updating without taking a break from using it. But what kicked it was that the support was even less helpful than support at Microsoft. Imagine that. Having WORSE support than fucking Microsoft. (Threema is getting a place in that hall of shame as well, fyi.) But I couldn't find the apk with the unlocked PRO version anymore, and I am not going to pay a subscription fee after already buying the app years ago. No. Fuck you and your subscription bullshit. So I upgraded to the newest version, had my pro features again, and am now seeing how it works with typing.
Needless to say that the app got so much worse after the developers decided they were now an "ai company" and pushed that down our throats. I just want a keyboard app that I can write on which does not keep any data at all. You do NOT need to know what I typed. You do NOT need to keep a record and you MUST NOT tell your developers what I typed. Ever.
Apparently, that's too much to ask for.
I ended up banning every app on my phone ecxept two from using mobile data in any form, which took forever and is probably going to be reversed as soon as Google finds a way to secretly update their apps in my phone.
Goodness I do really miss my Nokia 3210. Never had the addiction to stay on that for longer than necessary, and needed to delete text messages for space. Those were some times. wild.
