Hey uh... So i dont wanna distract from your fic writing time but since u made the post about drabble requests and if u ever have time i would like to request a kind of platonic but maybe flirty in jest Hyukken in... A museum AU??? Like, it's all hush and serious and respectful, maybe Jaehwan is a museum tour guide and Sanghyuk is there with a class or with friends (or the other way around) and they start being eggs?¿?? idk legit whatever works for your creative spark i would love ;v;
I loved this prompt!! thank you for sending!! (requests open)
In which Hyuk is a university student and Jaehwan is a bored museum curator AU.
1.1k words.
Hyuk takes music theory. That would usually mean that he wouldn’t be obligated to attend science/ math lectures and trips. Hours of pouring over his university website outlines for his program requirements assured him of that.
So why was he at a museum?
Yeah, it was nice. Nice in, like, old-timey nice. The floors were pretty clean. The walls are beige in tone and the few stragglers in the museum are older couples and individuals. Twenty(+) university students is probably a welcome change to the environment.
Hyuk doesn’t know how right he is.
Jaehwan has been waiting for months since he became one of the museum’s curators for an opportunity to mess around. The group scheduled to come in today were prime targets of his scheming; this was too good a chance to pass up putting his plans into action.
He needs an accomplice. The plethora of lies Jaehwan has up his sleeves to misinform people was only fun for a short amount of time. If there was someone in the group that the rest of them trusted who would willingly go along with him- nay, who would be the ‘reliable source’ that was his reinforcement- the joke could go along so much farther.
He spies his ideal partner in crime while peeking out from behind the staffroom door. He’s a tall guy, lanky and brooding. Sharp jawline. Perfect. Not just because Jaehwan likes a line of a jaw that could slice his hand in two, but because the bored expression painted on the student’s face means he could probably use some excitement.
So Jaehwan does what his rational just-into-adulthood brain tells him to do and he whisper/screams at the man once he’s far enough away from the rest of the flock to not arouse suspicion. They were all wandering anyway.
“Pssst!” Jaehwan hisses, clinging onto the edge of the wall by his fingers so as not to fall over. “Hey, hey you!”
The student’s head jerks, tilting to the side. Left. Right. He shrugs. Jaehwan pouts.
“Hey!” Jaehwan tries, a little louder this time and waving a hand in a just visible manner. The student sees him this time and Jaehwan beams a square smile. The stranger stares back at him quizzically with widened eyes. Get a load of this guy the look is saying even though no one else is paying attention. Jaehwan’s lips press into a thin line. He flashes his museum badge and that helps his situation.
Hyuk quirks a brow, tosses a look over his shoulder at his classmates, then comes to his own conclusion. He decides to see what the guy wants, sealing his fate for the rest of the day. The museum staff dude is practically bouncing with elation.
“You want me to what now?” Hyuk exclaims after a hasty introduction and the Jaehwan guy stumbling over a bunch of really long sentences that were neither decipherable nor had any meaning.
“Just pretend you know what I’m talking about. Look on your phone. Pull up fake Wiki pages, I don’t care,” Jaehwan explains again.
“And why should I?”
“For this handsome face?” And Jaehwan lifts his hands to his cheeks, cupping them in his palms and cooing at the marginally younger man who feigns a gagging attack.
“Try again.”
“If you do it, I’ll give you all the answers to the worksheet your prof handed out.”
“Deal.”
So set the trap. Hyuk returned to his class group, adamant on giving the acting performance of the century. Most of the other kids in his class refused to give him notes for the lecture he missed a few weeks ago, so this was payback. It wasn’t close to the ballpark in proportionality, but it was still sweet, sweet revenge. Maybe he’d even get Jaehwan’s number after this. Only for the purposes of causing further mischief, of course.
“And to the left we see the remnants of a tapestry from the Choson (Yi) Dynasty. Rumour has it that the consorts of the King Sejong at the time were all men of their early twenties, quite scandalous,” Jaehwan lies through his teeth. Hyuk raises a hand.
“Weren’t they also supposed to fight to the death periodically?”“Good point!” Jaehwan’s eyes light up; fireworks. Hyuk is the only one who catches the glint of malice in those eyes. “Every month, King Sejong would set up a battle between his favourite consorts resulting in the death of one and the promotion of another!”
Hyuk watches as the other student’s feverishly scribble down their notes or type with furious fingers on electronic keypads. The Devil’s horns grow steadily at his brow.
“Behind this glass is a copper dragon head decoration used in the Silla region B.C,” Jaehwan goes on when they drift into the next section of the exhibit.
“Was that a part of the Three Kingdoms?” One of the student’s asks while waving a hand.
“Oh, the Tri-Kingdoms?” Hyuk interrupts. Jaehwan nods frantically and Hyuk’s classmate falls silent. It takes all of Hyuk’s willpower not to double over with laughter. Tears do start forming with the effort, but he blinks them away.
The next few hours pass with Hyuk and Jaehwan blowing the minds of the university kids with their bullshit. The handout they got was just to ensure they’d all payed attention to their curator. Too bad for the rest of them, Hyuk thinks when he’s sitting with Jaehwan on an empty bench in the much quieter museum lobby after the class was dismissed from their tour.
“Aaaaand done,” Jaehwan exclaims after giving Hyuk the last of his answers. They’re legible even if his handwriting is terrible, and that’s what counts.
“How old are you, anyway?” The uni student decides to ask as he shoves the papers into his too-worn bag.
“Just graded. Bachelor’s of Archeology.” Jaehwan informs him.
“Oh, neat.”“Not really. Can’t do much after graduation. This is the most fun I’ve had in awhile. Wanna see something though?” Jaehwan asks him so enthusiastically that Hyuk hustles to affirm.
“This!” starts Jaehwan as he reaches into his jean’s pocket to fish out the tiniest clay cup Hyuk has ever seen, “just came in yesterday. Check it out.”
Hyuk holds his hand out to take the small object. It’s quite square and sharp as it rests in the the middle of his palm.
“What’s it for?”
“Bleeding a patient.”
Crash!
A priceless artifact in a thousand pieces fanning out over the marbled floor.
“I can’t pay for that,” Hyuk blatantly admits.
“It was ugly anyway,” Jaehwan states, because it was. “I’ll tell the janitors a kid knocked it over.”

Idea Sunday (Not on a Sunday, cause the calendar has no control over me)
Genre: Esport (League of Legends for now)
Fandom: Vixx
Main Character: Hongbin
Pairings: Sanghyuk x Hongbin, Sanghyuk x Jaehwan, Hongbin x Taekwoon (End game: Secret)
Length: Medium sized
Rating: Explicit
Hongbin and Sanghyuk are both members of Samsung Galaxy Blue. Sanghyuk playing under the name Hyuk and Hongbin under the name Hongbin cause gamer names are for weebs.
Hongbin is known as an at times overly aggressive midlaner with a preference towards aggressive mages and more focus on killing the enemy than farming.
Sanghyuk on the other hand is the equally aggressive jungler, also with a focus on carry champions.
They don’t always have the best synergy on the rift, but off the rift things heats up, and they have been together for almost all the time they have played professional, but things are about to change and they can’t stop it no matter how much they want to.
After a disappointing showing at worlds, and the new rules that each organization can only own one team, but Hongbin and Sanghyuk are forced to find a new team. While Sanghyuk expected both to go to China like both Imp and deft, and he signs onto EDG.
The thing is that Hongbin has other thought, and he ends up signing with last years european winner Fnatic as their new mid laner after their old one left. That suddenly puts an ocean between them and while yes they aren’t competing against each other, it means that they will only get to see each other if they both make it to worlds.
The both promised they would wait for each other, but things aren’t as easy as they seem.
In Fnatic Hongbin meets the other import, straight of the Korean soloque later, Taekwoon better known as Leo. And the second they are put on the rift together they instantly have a synergy better than Hongbin had ever had before.
While he keeps his attraction to Taekwoon ahold, but as his messages with Sanghyuk grows shorter and shorter, communicating less and less. Hongbin if forced to realize that he might no longer be wanted since Sanghyuk’s bromance with his toplaner Jaehwan better known as Ken starts being all over social media.
Also includes:
Coach Hakyeon, who just kinda wish people would focus on the game and not who they had in their bed.
Support Wonshik, ingame name: Ravi, who kinda ships it all. And it without a doubt the most gay person, even if every second sentence out of his mouth is: ‘No homo’ and he doesn’t seem to care that Hongbin is suppose to be the enemy since Hongbin makes a good pillow.
Note:
People are of course allowed to take the idea and either write it or change it if they want.
