A Few Thoughts
The Gerudo don't know exactly what happened during the first Calamity, but they know more than they let on. It is no coincidence that we only hear Urbosa mention that she knew Calamity Ganon's origins as Gerudo when she's alone on a mountain. Most Gerudo are aware, to some degree, that it was one of their own that became the Calamity, and it's a source of cultural shame, almost an entire taboo. Certainly you'd be hard-pressed to find a modern Gerudo who would own up to it to an outsider, even those that do worship Ganondorf as the eighth heroine of power. It's long been considered a point of contention, internal politics at their finest, and something that you keep far, far, far away from anybody who would consider you an ally or begin war proceedings depending on how they felt that morning.Â
However, this ancestral memory, aided by half-histories and half-myths, was part of the reason the nation was so quick to join Hyrule in its preparations against the second calamity. Many might have chalked it up to Urbosa's close relationship with the late queen and the noble family's general trend in the last several hundred years towards an alliance with Hyrule and, though that certainly helped, the common vai would not have been nearly as supportive were it not for the need to take their past head-on and hopefully put an end to their ancestor's recurring tirades.

Bravery
An unruly army helped nobody, least of all its soldiers. Though the battle was rough, and casualties much higher than anybody would have liked, a mutiny would only increase the death toll. Anticipating unrest from the Hylian front, Urbosa had gotten ahead of the problem with a speech - half threat, half rallying cry. Luckily, the food was good enough, the energy right, or something else was going for her that allowed her to send them off with a roaring cheer and plans to travel the next day. The blood moon rose every night for now, and until they could approach the castle, it would be a bloody fight every day.
As Urbosa returned to the captain's quarters, she willed her own muscles to stop shuddering. She'd called on her power more in the last week than she had in the rest of her life, and it was taking its toll. She was not immune to the effects of electricity, she could only redirect it - and inevitably, some of it bound up her veins and made her seize up. Her age wasn't helping the matter, as she was reminded more and more often that she was approaching a traditional retirement age, and she longed for nothing more than this nightmare to be over.
And yet, seeing Zelda, cold, but alight with her own spiritual power and a confidence she'd never seen cross the young woman's face, she knew it would not be too much longer. She replied with an exhausted smile, pushing a few damp strands of hair from her eyes.

And Yet More Headcanons
In general, Urbosa is more about preserving the way things currently are. Her nation is in one of the best spots it has ever been in, and though she knows society isn't perfect, they have a very low poverty rate, good medical solutions, and barring the calamity, their people are safe from most natural threats. She does come from a long line of humanists and has occasionally butted heads with the temple over theological disagreements. She fundamentally agrees that voe should be barred from large Gerudo settlements, but she thinks that at the very least the military should be able to make exceptions during times of war, especially with the treaties they have with Hyrule and other neighboring countries. Early in her reign, she also pressed on the temple to allow Hylian vai and Gerudo to have a true wedding ceremony, something that was forbidden before her reign. It's an odd situation, since legally, a Gerudo and Hylian woman were permitted to live in Gerudo Town, raise children, and if the Gerudo passed away before the Hylian, she was legally considered the first of kin, but the religious ceremony involving a deadly mission to prove their partnership was only allowed between Gerudo pairings. Relationships with Hylian voe fared even worse, but public opinion around those were beginning to change in favor of giving Hylian fathers parental rights, should he claim them, and a stake in his wife's estate should she pass away. Urbosa was successfully able to have a few Gerudo/Hylian vai ceremonies performed, but her attention became too divided after the assassination of Queen Zelda, so that policy change unfortunately fell through and was buried until well after the Calamity was thwarted a century later. She's lucky that she was born into a position of power, so in general she can affect small changes with impunity, and has a fairly large voice on the global scale. With that said, she does try to act on the advice of her council and generally avoids going rogue, since she knows her power can legally be challenged by the populace.

Bravery
Urbosa had raised her own daughter long enough to know that Zelda was merely exhausted and frustrated. That didn't mean that her words didn't hurt. Zelda longed for agency in a world that constantly denied it to her, but Urbosa only wanted the best for her. If it was up to her, she'd have allowed Zelda free reign of the entire desert, with an escort at least. That was an excellent way to make sure Rhoam never let her enter the desert again, though.
The chieftain closed her eyes, face falling back into a more peaceful, if disappointed expression. Her lips were drawn tight, but her eyes had a sort of gravity that made her look her age, rather than the seemingly effortless glamor she maintained.
"I know that," she began slowly, a hand pressing against the counter to her side. "You don't really need anybody to protect you, Zelda, but that doesn't mean I won't try. You know why, don't you?"

in truth, the young rito hadnât been expecting any visitors.  even with the threat that once plagued their land finally being slain, tulin didnât dare to simply sit idly by, not with his new duties to uphold.  he was a sage now, that was a super important deal !  there was a huge responsibility that now rested upon his shoulders, one that the young eagle was more than glad to carry; only increasing his training tenfold, if not only to make his father proud, but to make the entire village know he was reliable and not just some kid anymore.
gust of wind lifted the boy upwards, laughing to himself as he descended and talons attached to the ground once more. but head was quick to lift upon nearby footsteps reaching his ears, crooning sideways in curiosity as he looked on.  but when golden blonde hair entered his visage, excitement was quick to fill his veins.

To be the perfect being, to not have a single flaw. This was the standard they were set as leaders. No choices could be wrong, only honor and pride for your people. Yet, they couldn't be any further away from that goal, the Hylian especially. Mipha's role in this is but a single droplet across a vast sea. Zelda's tense shoulders and bright green eyes, they show that she knows this. Who is the Zora to give advice on how to reach holy powers?
Only that, Mipha isn't imploring as Princess of the Zora. Zelda has had enough people telling her how to reach her goal. So, Mipha doesn't draw back, "If you were a fool, we would have been swallowed whole by this evil already."
She places a hand upon the other's shoulder, squeezing, "My Princess, you're no holy being at this moment. I've said this to Link many times over; I cannot heal exhaustion."
