HYPOXiX Plank 4.1 marks the transition into the first true plank position of the HYPOXiX Plank Series.
After developing breathing mechanics in quadruped, anti-rotation control with single-arm balance, and stability through the hovering quadruped plank, you are now ready to integrate these skills into a full plank.
The full plank challenges the entire kinetic chain, requiring coordination between the shoulders, core, hips, and breathing muscles while maintaining a neutral spine.
This level uses HYPOXiX Breath Level 1:
* 8-second engaged exhale
* No breath retention Rather than simply holding a plank, focus on allowing the prolonged exhale to create deep abdominal activation while maintaining optimal posture and breathing mechanics.
* Enhanced shoulder stability
* Better postural control
* Increased breathing efficiency
* Greater trunk stiffness and force transfer
* Improved movement mechanics during exercise and daily life
