Love this blog! Honestly think it’s one of the best (if not the best) hypno blogs I’ve come across on here!
So I have a question 🤷🏼♀️ (I’m too nervous to come off of anon to message you but I’m so curious about your answer)
How would you hypnotise someone who is resistant to hypnosis (like me) and what would you do if you did manage to make someone who’s resistant to it, actually drop and just become completely mindless for you
Hii! Thank you so much for the kind words about my blog!! I really appreciate it!!
The key tenet to good hypnosis, in my opinion, is safety. I've often found out that a lot of subs who "can't drop" simply feel uncomfortable at the thought of letting their brains go. And that's an understandable reaction, as there are many people who would want to exploit that negatively.
So, the first step to hypnotize someone "resistant" is to make them feel safe. To reassure them that everything is done with their explicit consent and that there are safewords and waya to get out of trance if it needs to happen.
From there, you have to make sure that they are comfortable. A few nice breathing exercises, or a slow-rolling meditation to just remove all the tension in their body, making it easier for them to sink into their bed and concentrate on the words. Sometimes I do word association games: I say a word and the sub has to respond with the first thing that comes to mind as quickly as possible, increasing their focus and helping their thoughts grow simpler and simpler.
Only then, can you do the induction proper. Once they feel safe and comfortable around you, and once they can focus on your words, your task is to turn all those good feelings into brainlessness and obedience. And it turns out that it's not hard at all to do, simply because a brain that seeks comfort and warmth will simply turn itself of, if consenting and if someone gently commands it.
With all that in place, I've found that even the most resistant subs find themselves falling, too caught up in the relaxation and the amazing feslings to think of anything else. With this method, hypnosis just feels lile a warm hug, soft and easy to sink into, turning any stray thought, any worry, or any doubt to nothing~
Now, the question of what to do with such a good, dizzy sub is a hard one. Most of the time, I just install a trigger that makes them go back into that state easily, and then wake the subs up to ask questions (how they felt, if there was anything iffy, if they need more, etc.)
After that, I ask them what they want from hypnosis. What fantasies they have, from puppy play to drone play and whatever is in between. Armed with their mind thoroughly blank, their enthusiastic consent, and with their neediest of fantasies, I play with them in any way I see fit for their scenario and help them achieve all their little hypno dreams~
Does that answer your question, resistant sub?~
