*gives out a BIG sigh as to not overshare on my hyperfixation*

YES. I’ve been to two concerts of theirs, met most of the band and I got personally handed a setlist by the lead singer in front of a whole crowd because in his words “You knew my lyrics better than I did” when I was screaming my heart out in the front row :3

Not to mention I’ve been a fan for YEARS and know practically every song by heart sooooooooo

you could say I’m a fan :DDDDDD

This isn’t even half of it AAAAAAAAA it’s so rare to find another fan and MOOT??? AAAAAAAAAAAA

Not that we know of? We were raised around people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and was raised being told we have Aspergers, but after deliberation with an autism specialist and a trauma / DID specialist, its much more likely that we don’t have it but behave similarly due to environment and how we were raised.

ADHD has really never been on our radar either. With that being said, I’ve always been generally known to have hyper fixations and really intense special interests but always have been hesitant to say it since I am not on the spectrum or diagnosed with ADHD?

I dunno, according to our therapist, a lot of hyperfixating behavior and special interest behavior can be attributed to a combination of OCD-aspects and an avoidance factor to trauma that is akin to hyper vigilance and directing said energy often to something unrelated to “escape” trauma or any potential risk of thinking about it.

Kind of a diversion tactic of sorts? I dunno though, we haven’t discussed it much with my therapist since it is hardly the most urgent or needing-to-work on aspect of our life / our system, but thats just some hanging thoughts about it XD
