hii! so im talking to this guy, he recently asked me to be his girlfriend. and he also recently told me heโs arorace, nonamorous, asexual and hypersexual. and i really really donโt wanna come off as aphobic but how can he be arorace and nonamorous, if heโs saying he loves me (non platonic) and hes in a relationship with me? sorry if this comes off as aphobic iโm just confused and want to understand/learn more
thank you! :)))
he might feel intense love for you and hold a relationship with you based on deep emotional connection, partnership, while still identifying as aromantic and nonamorous because his feelings do not align with the standard definition of romantic love. everyone experience within these spectrums is unique!
and trust, you dont sound aphobic at all especially if youre looking for genuine answers. so maybe try talking and learning from him! if hes comfortable telling you about his feelings and identity, im sure he would be okay with explaining how he feels to you :)
