Just a few things you probably didn’t know

Spirits of the Shadow isn’t a Medieval Fantasy

Achlys is the only teenage character.

It took me three months to write the first draft.

The first four drafts were only in Achlys’ POV.

There was no Anna until a few weeks ago.

It was my second novel to write

My only edited novel.

My first ever story to plot

I cried at least thrice while writing it.

Dunnere was forever a mystery

The plot was inspired my sudden love for mountains, and the cloudy weather outside. (I’ve said this one before)

I really just wanted to write about an assassin meeting an —nevermind

The original drafts were set in medieval times. Now, at the end of medieval times, and when the first guns were introduced.

No matter what happened one thing was inevitable— nevermind

Spirits of the Shadow was supposed to be Book 1 of a duology. Now it’s a stand-alone.

Book 2 was called Shadow of the Storm. (I still love that title and the plot)
