Why did Herr Schmidt chose to name it HYDRA?
This answer led to a meeting which took place this afternoon in the Hydra headquarters. After arguing talking it out, we managed to get three points to answer you that:
1. As we reported here [x] there is a LOT: a List Of Titles which could fit our acronyms for H.Y.D.R.A. But no agent is allowed to know the real one.
2. āCut off one head, two more shall take its placeā is the logo of our association. The name must also depend on that.
3. I am sure our Lord and Savior Red Skull will be glad to answer your question. Donāt ask us senior agents. Just go ask him.

Moreover, it would not be alright if you didnāt say āhail hydraā while crashing someoneās skull.About the symbol, drawing it with blood would be an amazing idea since blood red is one of the best colors for our logo, however we have to warn you that, first, blood is not one of the easiest paint to use; second, the hydra logo is not one of the easiest ones to draw and we donāt want the logo to be recognized by SHIELD as an ugly octopus. [Note: we are aware that the Hydra logo is not a mythological Hydra.] You will need drawing ability.
