"Oh, great!” he exclaims-- though he immediately regrets speaking at all when he ends up with a mouth full of sand. Acid rain, regular rain... he might actually prefer those to the sticky particles of sand now smacking him in the face, clogging his ears, going up his nose, and blocking most of his eyesight. Sand? Yeah, he’s never really seen it before, but he can firmly declare that he’s not a fan. Pippin glances over his shoulder to see a giant brown tidal wave of sand headed their way. Their, because he’s not alone: there’s another stranger a few meters away. “Hey, we gotta go!” he shouts, jogging unsteadily through the stationary sand on the ground, waving his arms wildly to get the other’s attention, to make sure he sees the sand wave behind him.

First disaster: Poisonous Fog
Fleur needed to find her girls. She needed some sort of indication that they were alright in this hell island. She had already been through the wringer slightly, wand in hand. Somehow getting split up with Ron she was back on her own when she spotted another familiar face. One that she hadn’t thought was here. “Remus!” She ran towards him. She was relieved to see him. She took a breath when she got to him. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail and she definitely did look out of place in this environment. Her wand was in her hand though. Ready for whatever this Island might throw at her.
Severus wasn’t sure if he should have been relieved or concerned at the sight of his mother. On one hand he could see that she was relatively fine, but on the other hand she was out in danger. “Mam,” he called, carefully making his way over to the woman. “The streets aren’t safe. There’s dementors and god knows what else around. I think I saw some orcs earlier. Come on, let’s get out of here.” He wouldn’t be able to forgive himself if something happened to her.
(¸.• ♛ → dany was so lost about all of this, not knowing what happened because once she was in dc and now she was in some island, everything happened so fast and she was trying to find a way out or answers. however, something happened, it was like some smoke...or something like that but it was weird, so she didn’t want to find out about this or what can happen, she decided to just run from that, not really looking who else was around her just she wanted to get away from this.

she had wondered if things had gone differently before if she would have been so relieved to see her brother in a distance. the way that things had shifted for them, how they had calmed the animosity between them just in time for whatever this situation was to take place. “sheev!” she called out, moving through the tree cover to meet up with his pace, relieved to see he was okay. “i know you said to stay put, but sion got hurt and then i went to get help, and i don’t know how i got here instead.”

she’d ducked away, barely avoiding... was that a fucking meteor? the redhead swore as she rolled across the sand, pulling herself up after a moment and looking to the girl nearby. “we gotta get out of here, now.”
the clouds begin to form, the sky is darkening, there is a chill in the air amongst the chaos that have plagued the city for days now. a familiar storm is brewing above and slowly the citizens of dc begin to notice to notice the change in the weather. the air feels alive, as if an electric current is flowing through each and every citizen, both near and far. the loud crash of thunder comes once, a flash of lighting strikes down both on the island and the city. something isn’t quite right, the storm grew too fast, the energy surrounding it causing your hair to stand on end. and then it comes, the same flash of light that some may remember from the first day of this, a blinding light engulfs the city and it’s people, reaching far across those surviving on the island.
as some open there eyes, they look around and see a new ground under their feet. some who stood on concrete now feel the waves of the ocean splash against their feet, and others so used to the sand and thrown as the familiar sidewalks of the city greet them once more. for some, they are able to reunite with loved ones they could only fear the worst of. for others, they’re once more separated from a situation they had grown accustom to. others remain the same, opening their eyes to find just blind spots in their vision as they readjust from the flash of light, returning to however it was they were surviving before with new faces greeting them. but the question remains, how will you fare?
the magic of dc is feeling even more unstable as the island’s disasters wage on, as hordes of monsters continue to flood the city. it’s almost tangible, the way the air feels unsteady, the control the city once had now starting to waver. is this truly the end of the surges? will the city be able to recover from these changes? only time will tell as people settle into the new places they find themselves.
-- the magic of dc is growing more and more unstable, with the surges in magic happening every few months. it cannot seem to contain the power it holds, unable to stop the hordes of monsters from growing, or stop the island’s disastrous clock. things only begin to get worse as the week wages on, leaving to another surge that brings characters to and from different places. some people will be switching between the groups, but who will arrive where? that is yet to be seen, that is until they decide for themselves where they’ll be going.
OOC INFORMATION :
hi friends !! we are so pleased to see all of the excitement that has surrounded the first half of the event, but of course, this is dc, and nothing ever stays the same for long! the city’s magic is growing increasingly unstable, and it doesn’t seem to have any plans to stop, so of course, that means a little extra spice for you all. we are so excited to add a bit of a mix up for everyone and cannot wait to see how it plays out for the last half of the event! please read on for some information about how the swapping is going to work and we cannot wait to hear from you all!
THE GIST :
there has been a new surge in the magic, and characters are being swapped between both dc and the island. there seems to be no real rhyme or reason for it but certain characters switch between the two groups for the remainder of the event
you may swap out whoever you like between the two groups, but you must have the same amount of characters in each section as you did at the start of the event. meaning, if you wish to swap “character a” to the island, you must bring “character b” to dc in exchange, and so on from a - z depending on your character number!
when you decide who to swap, please message the main either over dms or an ask with the form of “ i will be swapping ___ on the island for ___ in dc ”. you may list your characters or choose only two to swap if you’d like! if you play only one character, you are free to change groups, just please let us know as well!
all in all , your characters are going to have the chance to experience both sides of this, to look for the family they could not find in the city or on the island, or even just get a bit of a fresh start in a new setting of chaos!!

PLOTTING :
once you receive the okay from the main, you are free to begin writing as if your characters have been switched to their new group
we do ask from here on out, if they are swapped that you no longer make any starters for their previous grouping. you may put out new calls or anything you like to supplement, but please do not begin new threads as if they are still in their original section
as in the beginning of the event, we will be offering out a free starter once more to all members, remember this is one free starter per mun, not per character, so use it wisely!
CURRENT REPLIES :
you are free to continue all of your current replies, you do not need to drop any, but we do ask from here on out you are diligent about tagging which group your characters belong in.
if you are not swapping any characters out you can continue on with the event as if nothing has changed except for some new faces in each group!
HOUSEKEEPING RULES :
as before, please keep tagging everything with “hwevent12″ but please make sure that, if you were not already, you are tagging each reply with your character’s group!
examples being : ‘ event : the island ‘ , ‘ the city group ‘ , even just ‘ the island ‘.
