1 Monster: Giant spiders

"i hate this. i hate this." beth whispered under her breath. all she could think about were monsters that'd chased her and her sister down that cliff. what could she do against those giant spiders? "what do we do?"

21 Characters enter a portion of the maze to find it completely dark.

beth had watched the world began to fade around her as she entered this part of the maze. everything suddenly dark and unforgiving. beth's hand reached out, not sure where she was anymore. "hello?"

"oh i know what we're supposed to do!" beth exclaimed as she brought the piece around to the side to plug it in. "there it is." the computer finally turned on. thank goodness too because she didn't want to be responsible for breaking a computer in the cafe.

❛you look like you could use a hand with that.❜ beth hurried over and extended her arms to help hold onto the bottom of the box. "it looked like it was going to fall over. what do you have in here anyway?"

"em!" beth called as she walked out of her room to the living room. she had just glanced at the time and noticed how late it was. "i forgot we were supposed to go see that movie!"

❛haven’t you heard the news?❜ it had to be everywhere by now what was going on in the streets. so many people killed in so little time. it terrified beth and though there wasn't much she could do about it, she had to get to her siblings to make sure they were okay. especially hannah, there was no way she'd leave her twin to deal with this on her own. "it's like a free for all out there. i have to check on my twin. make sure she's okay in all this."

❛we’re gonna survive this, right?❜ this was one of the moments that beth wished she didn't have her memories. recalling the time she'd died before... she was terrified. she didn't want to go through it again. "i don't want to die again, josh. i really don't..."
