she assumes that the supernatural has some kind of hold on him.       just like the rest of the humans in beacon hills,     she sees the sheriff as someone who needs protecting.      and of course,      so far,      she has only seen what BAD the supernatural can do,     so she assumes that he can’t be protected by them.     that’s what this is about for her   ——     in her mind,     she’s not sending her army out to kill people.       she doesn’t see the supernatural creatures as people at all     /      she sees them as people who have entirely lost their humanity.        she wouldn’t know why the sheriff seems to be on their side or why they would want to help people who have only caused destruction to this town      (    remember,    she hasn’t seen them do anything good yet,     she is still putting them in the same category as the beast.    )  

but still   —–    i wouldn’t say the sheriff has proven to be completely on their side to her yet.      obviously he is,      but her interactions have been slightly skewed given episode 6.16.       she’s not sure if he’s entirely on their side because he’s not sacrificing his career to help them.     he did the right thing when he took satomi’s pack members in,     because no matter what way you want to look at it,     those two teenagers did kill innocent people.   and the sheriff was smart to do the right thing instead of trying to let them off,    because that would have looked fishy to EVERY citizen of beacon hills,     and it would only make them even more skeptical of the supernatural and the people helping them. 

tamora will always feel a connection to the sheriff for what he did for her.     she will always be grateful for him.     again,    i can’t stress this enough in my posts because a lot of people forget this    ——   but scott was there,     he didn’t take a second look at the bodies in that bus,    he walked away from them.    we know that scott would have helped if he knew she was alive,     but she has no reason to believe that,     so obviously her first real impression of him is always going to stick with her.     she didn’t expect to be saved that night,    not after scott and the deputy had left her there alone,     so the fact that sheriff hadn’t been turned away from the bus and stopped to help them means a lot to her.     but he’s also human,    she expects humans to do the right things.     had it been someone supernatural who helped her out,     her entire perspective would be different.     she would have a real reason to believe that there is GOOD to the supernatural too   —–   but instead,     she hasn’t been able to see it yet.     

i would like to see someone on the in between try to open her eyes,    yes.     that means mason,   the sheriff,     chris,    melissa,     etc.    —-    all the humans who are clearly on the side of the supernatural.      because those are the kind of people that she doesn’t understand,     yet the kind of people she’s still working to protect.       she doesn’t know how to protect them when they’re on their side,     but i think she’ll want to try.        she’s already doing that to people who are on the fence.       like the scene with edgar,     the two students were skeptical but she dehumanized edgar.    she reminded them that he wasn’t a person and that he would only hurt them if he stayed alive.     that’s her tactic;    remind them that they’re all better off if they’re in a safer world.      obviously,    she wouldn’t be able to convince the people in scott’s pack who are entirely human,    but that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t try.     

but unfortunately,    taking someone’s word for it isn’t an option.    she’s protective over her students    (   it’s why she’s giving them weapons,    because she thinks that’s the only way they can survive with the assumption that all supernatural creatures want to attack them.    )      someone like mason,    who is a  student and who is human,     is obviously someone she would want to protect,    but if he simply told her scott’s pack was GOOD,    she wouldn’t be able to accept his words.      she needs real,     solid proof that they aren’t all bad.     she needs solid proof that there’s still humanity left in them.     because as long as she sees them as monsters with no humanity,      she’s not going to treat them like humans,    and in turn,     she’s not going to give up.     unfortunately that means scott has to prove himself once again to someone,     even though he ALWAYS has to do that.      taking someone’s word for it can’t change her perspective,    not when she has solid evidence AGAINST them    (    even though it’s obviously skewed,    but even scott knew he couldn’t refute her evidence against him.    )        

they’d rushed the eldest argent to another hospital as soon as they found him. after the anuk-ite was taken care of, many members of the town had lost the fear that drove them to fight, but there were still some who were angry.  " this isn’t over, ”  she murmurs as she stands near his bedside.

i can’t really answer your question,    because this is a question directed at someone studying nolan’s character,     not tamora,      but i can say that just because nolan may say something or do something,    doesn’t mean that’s obviously true for tamora side.       just because he thinks that she would kill him doesn’t mean she would.      in 6.15,    he made a mistake,    he was worried about messing up again because he feared that there were consequences.     his talk with tamora  made it seem like there would be   —–     but tamora is hellbent on keeping him where she needs him.      

 the dynamic between nolan and tamora is so important and i’ve written a lot about it   —-   tamora was attacked by a supernatural creature,     and when you find out about the supernatural suddenly,    it’s difficult to find anyone to believe you.      nolan was the first person who really validated her thoughts.    it’s why she was so pressed to keep getting the information out of him.    she wanted to know what happened in his experience with the beast because it could help make her own experience more clear,    and she finally had someone to talk to that understood things from the same perspective as her.      not only did she finally have someone to relate to,     but she found herself even more protective over him.      she’s a very caring,   protective,    motherly person   —-   which i’m sure people have a difficult time seeing because of what she’s doing,    but those people are also not remembering that in her mind,    their enemies are murderous monsters,    not HUMANS.    she doesn’t look at themselves as murderers when she believes they’re killing the real threat here.       she feels a responsibility to protect all citizens of beacon hills,      but ESPECIALLY nolan.    because of the bond they have,     she feels an even tighter connection to him and the last thing she wants to see is for him to get hurt.     it’s why she’s so focused on training nolan;    she has to be confident that he can defend himself because she doesn’t want to see him get hurt.      she was appalled when gerard sent him off by himself  because she knew that he may not be able to handle that on his own yet,     but she also wanted to have faith in him because he’s so important to her,    specifically. 

again,   i don’t write nolan so i can’t answer your question to the best of my ability,     but i don’t think liam’s potential sympathy has anything to do with it   —–    especially since tamora is conditioning the hunters to believe that these creatures have no feelings,    no sympathy,    no humanity at all.       he’s obviously determined and wants to do the right thing,    but i think he’s always been on a shaky ground between what’s right and what’s wrong.      what he gets from tamora is validation.     she tells him he has a place to belong,     she makes him feel powerful when he does something right,    and she knows that   —–   she uses that so she can keep making sure that he survives through it all.     because if she ever lets him question whether or not he’s doing the right thing for too long,    he may falter.    and if he falters,    she knows she can’t protect him. 

noah would be a better son
