Summary:
Andrew doesn’t quite know what started it. Whether it was the blood pills or the silver bracelet. Whether it was a sense of duty that anchored itself in his gut and tugged him towards Neil, or if it was something else entirely.
How he got here isn’t as important as what he’s going to do now that he is here. He can see the blood pooling on the floor around the boy, and he knows that he needs to get out of here as soon as he can.
But he can’t bring himself to regret it. The conversation. The bracelet. The kisses. Any of it.
He moves to step over Neil’s body, but the growing feeling of uneasiness in him forces him to stop. To take another glance at the boy he’d stabbed in the chest.
At the vampire he’d staked.
It is almost unfair, Andrew thinks, how beautiful he looks even in death.
