It was cathartic to write it all down, and it helped me become more able to talk to some IRL people about it. I feel less of a mess now. The offspring and I are planning a trip to visit my mom in the spring. (It is totally amazing, by the way, when your children turn into adults who can give emotional support as well as receiving it.)
