Her eyes followed him as he went, and she was only taken out of her trance by Wind decidedly dragging her off into a corner by the kitchen.

Wind: “Delight, I sincerely hope you don’t plan on ... starting anything with him. I don’t really have to remind you, do I?”

Dely: “No, no, I remember ... but I think ... mh. Never mind.”

Wind: “I’m serious, little sister. Don’t join his ‘nothing means anything’-dance, not when you’re staring at him like that. You’re not Blood Moon, you’re not Proud and you’re not Harmony. They were all fine with how little they meant to him. If it were you, however ...”

Dely: “I know. I know. I won’t ... I won’t ... I won’t do anything if he’s not serious, I promise.”

Wind: “Ouf. He’s never ser- ... no, that’s not true. He sometimes is. Just not usually with women.”

Dely: “Just with you and your friendship, and his family, and everything. Speaking of which: How are you holding up? It’s been a long time since our house burned down and each of us have such problems, and have to help our benefactors, and ...”

Wind: “I’ll be fine. I’ll build a new house, I’ll just ... I’ll just be fine. Alright?”

Dely: “Good. I ... don’t wear yourself out, brother. I know, I came to ... but I just ... I need to talk to somebody now. I need this dream to die a violent death or see it fulfilled. I can’t live with it like this.”

Wind: “... Spike again?”

Dely: “I’m sorry, Wind. I can’t be cowardly today. Looking at him is physically painful, I need ... I need it to end. One way or the other.”

Wind: “I’ll be here for you. If he breaks your heart, I’ll beat him up for you.”

Dely: “Noooo, no, don’t do that.”

Wind: “I won’t. We actually did get into a fistfight a few weeks ago, over something stupid. He wrestled me to the ground, twisted my arm so I couldn’t move and sat on me. Never underestimate a man who’s had Spade for a little brother.”

Dely: “... why did you fight?”

Wind: “Uhm. We were a bit ... tired, possibly, and he possibly mentioned that one of my sisters had become a woman and I took it the wrong way. Instead of asking him about it, I attacked him. He uh ... apparently he saw Elegant running around with at least two different men wrapped around her finger. He explained that while sitting on top of me. It was quite uncomfortable, but I suppose I should be glad he didn’t actually punch me back.”

Dely: “Your friendship is really weird.”

Wind: “Yes.”

Dely: “And that bit about Elegant is true, White is head over heels in love with her, but he keeps lamenting that he sees her with Ice.”

Wind: “Ah.”

Dely: “Mh.”
