I just finish watching the final season of voltron and i just want to thank everyone who work this amazing show. But i was looking on internet. I’m seeing a lot of negative in the comments about how their ship didn’t happen or that they didn’t like how they ended it, etc. I completely understand and that you have your own opinion but telling people to ship this or telling people that those characters shouldn’t be together isn’t right. Everyone has they own way to watch the show. When I started watching Voltron, I didn’t think about shipping anyone at all and I finish the show and I still don’t ship anyone, that’s how it’s was for me. Everyone is different and seeing people hating on how it didn’t go their way or didn’t like didn’t the season which is fine but you shouldn’t tell others that they should hate it. I was and still always there for the story and if you just watch it to ship then go ahead, I can’t telling anyone what to do. So please if you are going to hate on the show then keep to your self. I saw so much people hating on characters and even the writers. Of course there are people who doing it for jokes but some might not be. Most you guys are being very ungrateful because you aren’t seeing the good it this show. Watch the show again for fun, try to not ship anyone with each other and see the growth of each one. Notice the happiness and the sadness within them. The writers are giving you so much and then you start hating because you didn’t like it about of one ship that didn’t happen. Grow up please. Just because it didn’t happen on screen doesn’t mean it happen off screen. Overall

Just something that’s been running around my head for a couple weeks. What happened after Keith realized Krolia is his mom.

A lot of Voltron fans are pretty mad about Hunk not getting enough screen time. Well, Dreamworks, I have an idea that could interest everyone. I’m positive people can relate to it as well and it can show a serious problem in Society’s standards that needs some recognition. Where am I going with this? Just wait and see! So we all know that every paladin has something troubling about their past or about themselves. Shiro struggles to remember the things that happened when he was a galra prisoner, and has trouble coming to terms with his galra arm being part of him. He also has severe PTSD, a form of anxiety that is caused when a person experiences something traumatizing. Keith struggles with his past bloodline and has abandonment issues, caused by his mom leaving, and because of this, he struggles to open up or get close to people. Lance feels like the seventh wheel and doesn’t believe he is worthy to be a paladin of Voltron. He’s also very homesick, as seen in season one, episode four: The Fall of the Castle of Lions. Pidge doesn’t want to lose anyone again after losing her brother and father, and though she has improved greatly, can still be a little distant and keeps to herself. Allura mourns the loss of her planet and her people, and still thinks she won’t be as good of a leader as her father, the fallen King of Altea, King Alfor. Notice how we never hear about Hunk’s past and we don’t actually know much about the big guy? Me too. Now, I’m not saying Hunk SHOULD have something wrong... I mean, what’s wrong with loving yourself? I’m saying that this could be Dreamworks’ chance to recognize a certain issue with society today, and make Hunk into something more people can connect with. So, what I think is that Hunk’s past should reflect on gender stereotyping/sexism because many people today struggle with sexism and expectations based on their gender, and people should know that they’re not alone. Honestly, it’s something I’ve been expecting to see. And because I’m trying to keep this short i’m going to skip the details and get straight to my point. I would expect that Hunk’s father didn’t like the fact that Hunk knew how to cook/clean or thought he wasn’t “manly” enough (because some people only see a big squishy guy). He wanted a more “suitable” life for his son, so, believing that he was doing the right thing, Hunk’s father sent him to school to learn mechanics. (Now this is just me spitballing here, so of course, this isn’t exactly how I pictured it.) At first Hunk was hesitant, but wanted to impress his father. He discovered eventually that he took a liking to it! So, he continued to work with mechanics by going to the Garrison and his father finally realized just how lucky he is with Hunk. Now, try to picture this: Hunk’s packing up the last of his things preparing to leave with his best buddy, Lance. As he prepares his stuff, his father enters the room with an enormous grin on his face and full on bear hugs Hunk. His father had finally realized that he had always been pleased with his son and what he does. He tells Hunk just how proud he is, and that Hunk can do whatever he likes. He mentions that he’s always loved his cooking and that he’s a little jealous of Hunk’s mean casserole. Now, knowing Hunk, I would think he would be so happy that tears well up in his eyes and it’s HIS turn to give the bear hug! A big weight is lifted off his shoulder, knowing that his father loves him so much makes him feel like the most amazing person in the world. The scene ends with his father jokingly saying that Hunk is going to be the one doing all the cooking for Thanksgiving and they share a laugh. Anyway, once again, that was just me spitballing my ideas. So, what do you guys think? I just really want to see some more history and/or character development for our precious cinnamon roll.
