I used many different tools and programs to make it. I use a website (which unfortunately is not free to use anymore, i have a sub for it) called clippingmagic.com to make transparent images, or cut our backgrounds, like so:

Then one i have all the images i want to use, i usually create a project on paint.net (yes, i use paint.net. It works for what it is.) and then i figure out how i want the scene to look as a whole. 

It’s kind of like story boarding actually. I duplicate some layers, shift them to give them to give them that glowy-outline, rotate so stuff, crop some stuff, erase, etc, etc. 

So then I saved each of those layers as individual .png files and imported the into Power Director 12, which is a film/video editor program. That’s where the magic happened. There’s a tool where you can create a path or a “track” for an image to follow and move by. I’ve never used it before, so it was challenging to learn it for this project.

Challenging part was using the Zoom tool AND the motion tool to create the 3D effect that I wanted. Like to create the scene where we zoom out to see Morganthe running to the hill top, It took me awhile to modify the zoom tool. I especially had trouble with the very slight zoom i wanted to have on the last scene where we face Morganthe. So. Much. Time. (Hint: Key framing in important, and i still don’t know exactly what it does).

Also to give Morganthe some expression + the tears on her face int he last scene, I just pulled up Paint Tool SAI and drew on tears & cringed her eye brows using and airbrush effect to make it look like she was crying/angry instead of a blank facial expression

So yea I did that as well.

Thing was when I finally had the video done, the final cut was produced with ugly green lines:

This was a problem because I use gifcam to make gifs, and it works like a video recording system; so if it look like that in the final cut, it’ll look like that in the gifs.Green lines appear because, i think, of the amount of motion going on. How did i fix this?

So. 14 or so seconds worth of film. 30fps. I had to individually capture each and every frame (ended up being like 416 frames) and then place them into ANOTHER power director project, and tape them all together so they flowed. Took me 2 ½ hours of extra work. But i ended up eradicating the green lines and having pretty high quality outcome.

Are you pressing the crtl + prtsc keys? Because that’s the only way I know how to do it and mine always end up just fine.
