The way Marcus puts it, he doesn’t like Patton’s glasses because “If I’m going to see, I’d rather see clearly”. Patton is morality as well as the center of c!Thomas’ emotions, and that’s a very personal and kind of subjective thing depending on how you go about it. The point is, Marcus’ vision is a little “blurry” with Patton’s glasses because it gets clouded by stuff like emotions and personal ethics as opposed to the more blunt but straight to the point approach of logic. Logan’s glasses let’s him see things as they are and then assess situations on his own, but Patton’s comes with a few other things that he’d rather not look at. Emotions can cloud rational judgement, after all.

Marcus doesn’t like Patton’s way of seeing things at alI, and that mostly stems from the fact that his and Patton’s views just don’t mix. (At least back then, things have kind of changed since but that’s kind of complicated) He has a bad impression of Patton due to what happened the first time he tried his glasses on though, in which he kind of freaked out a bit because children have kind of simplistic and exaggerated views on things (It’s what’s pictured above) He learned how Patton felt about certain things and that kind of stuck with him even though times have changed since. He also figured out that Patton was the reason certain things were happening to him, and stuff just really escalated after that.

The main issue was just that they disagreed on tons of things, and have different forms of justice as well as different measures for right and wrong. But the thing is, Marcus is also a very emotionally driven person. He’s anger, a very strong emotion, so it’s kind of inevitable. Yet he constantly has disagreements with the person who is basically the emotional core, and it’s admittedly not very good for either of them. There’s a wound somewhere that’s still bleeding, and their problems aren’t gonna go away until it’s fixed. Which, at least one of them is definitely trying to do. (It’s Patton)
