This Round Friend from the Perth Hills is the Humming Frog! In the hot Summer months the Humming Frog burrows underground and aestivates (hibernates in Summer) in a special cocoon made from its shed skin!

Since Kevin's a mutated form of a frog how else is he different aside from being bigger and/or nastier.
Hey look! Tara and Kevin are back!
Kevin is indeed bigger and nastier than the average frog.There is a reason why Tara is the only one who can take care of him. His is 50% teeth, 50% neurotoxin.Β
Tara is naturally immune to most toxic substances so she can handle handle Kevin without her skin boiling off.
TL;DR: Donβt pet the murder frog.
Tonight we visited the Perth Hills to meet new friends the Humming Frog, the Crawling Brood Frog and the Moaning Frog!

TARANTULA WITH A PET FROG?
Well, not exactly.
Colombian Lesser Black Tarantula (Xenesthis immanis), family Theraphosidae
Dotted Humming Frog (Chiasmocleis ventrimaculata), family Microhylidae
- The 2 species occur together in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Venezuela.
This relationship is sometime framed as "Tarantula with a pet frog"
This is thought to be a symbiotic relationship, probably mutualistic.
The frog lives in the female tarantula's burrow, feeding on prey leftovers and ants (which would harm the eggs or spiderlings).
This is very specific to these species, as this species of tarantula will attack and prey on similar species of frog.
