It has recently come to light that in the past year the Department of Health and Human services has LOST nearly 1,500 migrant children. 1,500 kids just gone. The OOR takes responsibility of children who are either unaccompanied or speedsters from their parents do to deportation of immigrants. Out of the 7,635 children the OOR put with sponsors, the location of 1,475 were unknown. It blows my mind that in this country in 2018 our government looses innocent children who have done no wrong. These kids could be and most likely are caught in human trafficking or worse. This news is coming after Jeff Sessions announced a new policy that prosecutes all attempted boarder crossers and separates children from parents being prosecuted. These children that are being taken from their parents are being sent to detention centers. I know most of us can’t remember being little and not understanding the world but just imagine being taken for your parents, sent to detention centers, or being lost to human traffickers and having no idea what is happening.
