What would Devastator (I forgot his human name T.T) do if one of his Constructicon cybugs was hurt? I know he loves them deeply, but how would he handle that?
Would he be stunned to see Hook repairing his cybug friends (at least, if you do include Hook being a medic [surgical engineer] into his cybug self)? Are there cybug vets? Do people know cybugs have a level of sentience beyond just "bug"? (At least, I am going into this presuming it is an AU where the Cybertronian characters are sapient/sentient like they are in the transformers franchise?)

... badly! depending on the cause, he'd probably end up lashing out at whoever he views to be responsible but also having to reign himself in to check on the structies :] (if it were his own doing he'd beat himself up about it later)
in my heart of hearts Hook in every universe is a medic and this includes ones where he is a bug. Devvy would presumably be very surprised but he'd take it in stride. he knows Hook is pretty smart, and they were wild/feral(?) before they came to him, so they had to survive somehow. (while they're pretty resilient, it doesn't mean they are invincible!) his medical knowledge/experience would probably be more basic compared to actual Medical Engineering but he's absolutely still patching up his team :]
there are cybug vets, which have come up a few times before- i figure theyd end up specializing in cybugs rather than being a more general vet. probably requires some more specific mechanical skillsets that aren't as easily transferable to/from other creatures.
as for sapience/sentience... ehh? *hand tilt*? (to both humans' understanding of, and the actual reality of their sapience.)
ive mostly skirted around it because it brings up some topics that i dont think im well equipped to include here, (e.g. keeping sapient beings as pets/in pet-adjacent roles) which is something i find fascinating to explore, but... not in this au. it's the same reason they specifically do not speak any human languages lol. i imagine it's a topic of hot debate in universe though!
