He’d been trying his best to get to sleep too! He’d tried all the tricks! 

Counting sheep, white noise, calming music, nature sounds, searing magenta noise…

But he was still in his borrowed room, alternating between staring at the ceiling and the glow-in-the-dark analogue clock on the wall.

So much had happened to Fresh in just a span of weeks. It made the weird expression of “sea change” come to mind. (What did the ocean have to do with things changing anyway!?)

One moment, they were doing their normal parasite stuff (albeit with more guilt than normal), and the next they had a strange human body of their own. 

In fact, every monster in the multiverse now was human.

It was interesting, because Fresh wasn’t really a monster. He wonders again what  this meant about him, then suppresses the thought. It just opened up too many cans of worms for Fresh to deal with currently.
