Huey loved the Fall Carnival, because it gave him several opportunities to try his hand at a whole bunch of new skills. There was hook-a-duck and a coconut shy and most importantly: the corn maze. Huey was absolutely certain that he'd be able to beat that maze in the fastest time possible; not that anyone else was particularly counting, but Huey had heard that last year's record was five minutes, and he was sure he could do it if he walked super fast.
So he had entered the maze, a timer ticking on his watch to let him know how long he had left... and then he'd gotten kinda lost. The timer on his watch had gone off and he'd been wandering around the maze for a further five minutes, wondering if he should just try to jump and see the exit from above.
When he rounded a corner and smacked into someone, Huey was a little surprised; he hadn't ran into a single other person in the maze thus far, and he blinked at the girl, looking over her shoulder at where she'd come from. "I guess that's a dead end then, huh?"
