itās siriusā 20th birthday
and to mark the milestone of a new decade and the start of his journey towards maturity (haha as if) he decides to do something Wild and Reckless
he brainstorms with james and lily
āswimming with a sharkāĀ ānoāĀ ābungeejumpingāĀ ānoāĀ āskydivingāĀ āNOāĀ āok im going to go skydivingāĀ
and so he finds a small company not too far away from him that seems legit and has a professional web site and all that jazz
letās do it amirite
so he rings up the skydiving center and arranges a time + date
the big day ā james and lily are nervous becauseĀ āsirius youāre actually. jumping out of a plane. are you okayā
sirius reminds them that relax, heāll be fine, really, absolutely serious, pun not intended but really donāt worry
so he gets on the plane and he meets the instructor and wow
heās cute and he has such a smooth deep voice and itās so calming and heās got this adorably fluffy hair and just
his name is remus and sirius thinks he should skip the jumping out of the plane and jump into this guyās arms tbhĀ
but you gotta start somewhere so they chat a bit while theyre on the plane (sirius is waiting for the perfect moment to ask him his number lbr)
and then remus helps him with putting on his gear and then the trap door opensĀ
and he sees how high they are and heās. heās fucking terrified
and remus is explaining to him how theyāre going to jump and he doesnāt hear any of itĀ
then finally he asksĀ āare you okay?ā and sirius just squeaks
and remus makes him sit down and closes the trap door again and tells the pilot to fly a circle and arrive at that point again a little while later
and tells him that he absolutely doesnāt have to do it if he doesnāt want to
but that itās completely safe and that remus will be linked to him and that remus himself has done at least a thousand of these before and here he is, still alive
and whatās more he hasnāt ever been injured either
so sirius gets some time to think
and after all he does want to do this and itās his own idea
but heās still fucking scared
but he wants to do it
so the trap door opens again and remus chains himself to him and they get ready to jumpĀ
and then suddenly theyāre falling freely
and sirius is terrified heās frozen he wants to go back heās going to die here this will be his death
but then the parachute opens and itās actually so breathtaking because heās seeing all of it like heās on a plane?? except heās not on a plane heās in the sky hanging on a parachuteĀ and itās amazing
they get to the ground safely and sirius is so glad
and after remus unchained them sirius turns to him and is likeĀ āthank you so much i loved it and without you i probably wouldāve chickened out tbhā
remus is likeĀ āno problemā and walks them back to the center
james and lily almostĀ murder him it took so long and they were worried and they ask him soo many questions and sirius is overwhelmed tbh
so they get ready to leave and remus is standing there kind of awkwardlyĀ
and sirius, seeing this, gets an impulse idea and asks him if he has a pen
then writes his number on a scrap of paper still in his pockets and hands it to remus and then quickly gets in his car and drives off because what did he just do
((remus watches them leave and then smiles at the paper in his hand))
