ITS REALLY COOL HOW ACTUALLY TAKING MY MEDICINE MAKES ME FEEL CALM. IT WOULD BE AWESOME IF I JUST DID THAT REGULARLY
Nah, this is stupid. Mine is better.
"Unless the rebels bend to his will.. " same scene two seconds later "we're forming a rebellion"
There is a particular phenomenon that needs a name, or perhaps has one I haven't encountered. A person who is reasonably good at things within a given societally-approved "smart person" field (like astronomy or genetics or programming or philosophy), and who is privileged on several axes, so thoroughly internalizes the idea of themselves as "smart" that they start thinking everyone not versed in their field is "stupid." And then, inevitably, any field they aren't well educated in is one they could master if they bothered, or don't even need to put in effort to learn because it's "simple, really" and/or "unimportant." Because, you see, they are smart. Thus they are primed to, at best, confidently make unbelievably ignorant statements about that field. Or, at worst, dive in and do horrific damage without comprehending what they are doing. For some reason that phenomenon is on my mind a lot lately.
first flash of insight in 2025:
After you remove the duvet from the duvet cover, button all the little buttons again. The same buttons that kept the duvet IN will keep the rest of the laundry OUT.
Yeah, you'll have to unbutton them again to put the duvet back in, but you can skip the step of removing wet laundry from the duvet cover first.

Me after I finished knitting my first scarf in years: Should I give this to my nana or my mom?
Me starting a new scarf: If I work really hard on this one I can give my nana and my mom a scarf for Christmas.
Me completely ignoring how the first one took about half a year to finish: If I finish this one by the end of the month I can give scarves to my mom, nana, and my oma!

I just spent two hours listening to the kazoo kid play the kazoo, nonstop, I took no breaks then YouTube got an error and I took it as a sign from God that I could stop
