Mine’s actually pretty recent but two days ago for English class we had to write a Historical Fiction story. I’ve never been very good at sharing my work unless its over the internet or anonymously of course. But one of my friends asked if he could read it and promised that he wouldn’t share it with anyone else so I let him. And after class he told me that he thought I would become a best-selling author because reading my writing was like ‘reading out of a published book’. Which I found extremely flattering because I do want to become an author.  

2) What was the last lie you told?  Probably “No mom, I only had one cookie, I don’t know where the other six went!”  3) What is the best joke you heard? A cheesy nerd joke, such as “Two scientists walked into a bar, the first said ‘I’ll have some H2o.” the second said, “I’ll have some H2o too!” 

The second one died.  4) Some of your fears? Spiders, Murderers (No particular reason though...), Never accomplishing my goals in life, Having a kid who hates reading :P.  5) How long have you gone without sleep? About 72 hours, (not completely straight though, maybe drifting off every couple hours or so.  6) If you had any superpower, what would it be and what would you do? Telekinetic and Telepathic. One: I wouldn’t have to move to get the TV remote or a book, Two: I could get in people’s heads. Three: Stealing stuff would be insanely easy...

7) If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be and why?                I would say Hiccup but his life is generally just a giant run from psychopaths trying to kill him so maybe Camicazi because at least  she seems to enjoy being chased by lunatics...

8) What is your best childhood memory?                                                         The first time I stepped on a softball field with my dad :)

9) What do you feel most proud of about yourself? When I won the state tournament for my softball team by pitching a no-hitter. 

10) If you could only have 5 possessions, what would they be?                 A dragon, a dagger, a bow and arrow, an awesome art app, a published book by me.

5. Would you rather have a fishes’ face or smell like a fish?                         Smell like a fish I guess... a fishes’ face on a human body would be creepy!

6. Would you rather have broken glass for eyelashes or eat nothing but salmon forever?                                                                                                  Considering I’m vegetarian... I’ll take the broken glass eyelashes.

8. Had you been born the other gender what would you have been called?                                                                                                                 Jacob? Idk I’ve never really thought about it...

9. How often do you wash your hair?                                                               Every other day I think...

Which song lyric best sums up your life?                                                 The first one that popped to mind was “And for a moment a band of thieves in ripped up jeans got to rule the world!” by Taylor Swift. I’m not a 100% sure why though. Maybe because I wear ripped up jeans a lot and want to rule the world. Idk where the “band of thieves” part come from.            

11. If you had one day to live what would you do?                                       Punch everybody I hate in the face, eat a ton of junk food and travel to places.

Here’s just a brief idea of a possible first chapter I was thinking of. I wrote it in first person because its my favorite POV but I’m up for changes, anyone feel free to reblog this and add, take, or change it. I figured it was about time to get an idea of the first chapter out there. Here goes!                                                ______________________________________________________________

Waves pounded against the coast, I could hear them even from here. But Berk was a small island, it was mainly filled with bogs and caves, but it was home. The Hooligan tribe and lived here on this wet hump of rock since Great Hairybottom the First lost his shoe in the bog. At least that was the story, The Barbaric Archepeligo was a tough place, filled with even tougher people. The people I was running from right now, My father and his tribe. It’s not like I did something wrong, or broke a rule or anything, it was more that I didn’t like the other’s in the village. I never have, my friend Fishlegs and I have always been sort of outcast. Fishlegs was an orphan, we don’t know what tribe he came from or who his parents may be, the only thing he knows is that he drifted ashore one day in a lobster pot. He’s been taken care of by the Hooligans ever since, he lives in a small hut down by the sea. 

Fishlegs and I do everything together, except dragon-watching. Dragon-watching is geeky, weak, and against the law. Nobody does it, that is except me. Dragon-watching and speaking Dragonese is strictly forbidden my the order of Chief Stoick the Vast, Oh Hear His Name And Tremble Ugh Ugh. My father believes that dragons are animals, they are mindless pets meant to do our bidding. But I believe differently. 

I heard a shriek over head, I glanced up to find several dragons circling above me. By brain quickly rain through their species, a Nadder and a Short Wing Squirrel Serpent where the two closest. Then farther up I could see a Common or Garden circling over head and a Monstrous Nightmare. The Nightmare seemed to be chasing the Common or Garden around in circles. It was quite typical behavior for a Nightmare, they were animals of prey. One of the best hunting dragons out there The hunting dragon that only a son of a Chief could own. A hunting dragon I knew Snotlout would beat me to if he ever had the chance. Snotlout was my cousin, he was second in line to my throne and was a whole lot better than me at being a Viking. He was better at axe-throwing, swordfighting, Bashyball, Smashsticks, and everything else. And he also hated my guts. He was one of the reasons I was running from the village. 

I’ve always used dragon watching as a way to get away from the village. I’ve always wished it wasn’t so outlawed. I gazed up at Dragon Mountain, the best dragon watching spot on the island. It’s top was swarming with dragons of every shape and size. I could hear their cries and see their scales glint in the cool winter sun. I squinted trying to see against the pure white glint of the snow. I smiled, dragon watching was the one place on earth where I felt at home. I felt like I belonged. 

I watched a Marsh Tiger cartwheel above the mountain, several Basic Browns were sitting atop the mountain. Then I saw a small flash of orange among the heather. I turned to find a small orange Horror flapping in front of my face. I grinned, “Hey Flash.”  Her name was due to her extraordinary speed, Horrors are extremely fast dragons, however Flash was above even the average speed for a Horror. 

“Hello.”  she responded, flashing me a grin. “Aren’t you supposed to be in lessons with the giant oaf? Oh what was his name again, Gobber?”

“Snotlout got annoying again.” I replied. Flash knew I didn’t like to talk about my encounters with Snotlout. She’d even seen one first hand when I was eight and had officially decided that Snotlout was a very massive pinheaded pig after she’d seen him throw me into a mud hole. 

“I see. I still don’t understand why you don’t bit him?”

“Because,” I explained patiently, “it’s rude and a very bad idea considering he’s bigger than me.” 

“He’s rude to you. And who cares about size! I big Claws on the bottom yesterday and I’m still alive!” She said gesturing to a large Monstrous Nightmare who did indeed have a large wound on his bottom. 

“You know he’s going to get revenge for that.” I said, though I smiled at her indignance

“Who cares! I’ll just bite-” Flash cut herself off mid sentence with a shriek. 

“Flash! Wha-”
