Prompt: Alone, us two, kissing in the gentle breeze Astrid let out a contented sigh as she and Hiccup pulled away from each other. Even after two months of being in a relationship, she still wasn't quite used to her boyfriend's affection. After all, Hiccup really wasn't the affectionate type. At least, not with anyone except Toothless, occasionally Stoick, and apparently now herself. She wasn't complaining, though. She loved his cuddles and kisses. "Well, I guess I'll see you in the morning," Hiccup said as he ran a hand through his hair, which was being gently blown in the nighttime breeze. "We should stay," Astrid blurted out. "Stay here?" Hiccup glanced at the moon, then the quiet ocean, then the rustling leaves of nearby trees, which he could barely make out in the dark. "Why?" The blonde shrugged. "It...it would just be nice to spend a little more time with you. That's all. And out here seems like the only place where nobody'll bother us." "Good point. But only for a few more minutes. I gotta be up early tomorrow." Taking Astrid's hand, the auburn-haired Viking gazed up at the stars. "The sky sure is nice tonight, though." "Yeah, it is." "We should take a moonlit flight together sometime, what do you think?" "We should do it tonight," suggested Astrid. "As in, right now." "I don't know." "That doesn't sound like a typical answer from you. What's wrong?" Hiccup sighed. "It's nothing. Really. I just need a good night's sleep." "Babe." Shaking her head, the blonde freed her hand from Hiccup's and wound both her arms around his neck. Without a second thought, she leaned in and kissed his lips. "Everything will be fine. I promise." And in that moment, as Astrid's lips were pressed against his, Hiccup really began to believe that everything would turn out alright. After all, with her by his side, what couldn't he handle?
