So I knew that Danielle only revealed herself as the sabotage culprit when she learned that the theatre funds were for Rory's mom's cancer treatment. But only now am I learning that it was clear, right from the beginning that the theatre funds were for someone's cancer treatment.

In this thread with @lover-also-fighter-also we discuss how cheaply the story portrays Danielle's supposed "turnaround moment", because it feels like she would have continued to let CA MC become the theatre pariah had she not learned that revelation. But knowing this detail here I think actually makes it much much worse.

Because Danielle KNOWS someone's life is on the line (unless she was just not paying attention or some shit), but she only steps forward when she learns that that someone is a relative of Rory's.

Had she not known that detail that it was specifically Rory's mom's cancer treatment, had she continued to only know that it was just someone's cancer treatment, she'd just be ok with risking that...? All over a stupid crush???
