The last Prince of Hsipaw’s palace.
Visiting here was one of the highlights of Hsipaw. Read “Twilight Over Burma”. It is a good starting point for learning about Myanmar’s history.

Arriving at Hsipaw's train station.
Myanmar (August 2017)
3 Day Village-Trek starting from Hsipaw. It was the most northern Place we went to in Myanmar. Actually there would be a lot more to see even further North, but this Area is widely closed by the Burmese Government because of various Conflicts and instability. Anyway, the Areas of Myanmar that are open for everyone have plenty to offer and so had our 3 Day Village-Trek. We were able to get an inside view of the simple Life, the People of these Villages have. Their Hospitality is absolutely heartwarming. We slept at two Homestays, where they cooked a lot of delicious organic food and took really good care of us. It was very nice getting the Chance to experience the Village-Life of Myanmar. Between the Villages we were walking through both hilly and sometimes more flat Landscapes with Agriculture almost all the Way. February is one of the most dry Months in Myanmar so most of the Fields were already harvested and not very green.. still scenic.
