#hrreadathon Day 7 Prompt: new HR author you discovered and loved recently. A new historical romance author I discovered and loved recently was Loretta Chase. I found her book Ten Things I Hate About the Duke during Christmas time and it was the last book I finished in 2020. I loved it so freaking much!! I actually didn’t find out that it was an adaption of The Taming of the Shrew until I finished reading it. I’ve never read that Shakespeare play, BUT I have watched the amazing movie 10 Things I Hate About You. . . . After this book, I can’t wait to discover her other books and to continue this series. My historical romance love didn’t start until the beginning of quarantine so I’ve never checked out their historical romance shelves. . . . OH MY GOD! #hrreadathon Day 5 Prompt: favorite edition of a historical romance you love. My favorite edition of a historical romance I love is A Kingdom of Dreams by Judith McNaught. I read the first 100 pages of this book but had to stop because I was in a huge reading slump. . . . What I could tell from the first 100 pages is that I’m going to love this book! I purposely brought this book since @peacelovebooks raved so much about it and she already recommended a bunch of historical romance books and authors that I fell in love with! . . . I finally finished another book for this readathon! I listened to the audiobook for The Hunter by Kerrigan Byrne and loved it just as much as I did the first book in the series. I can’t wait to continue with the rest. #hrreadathon Day 3 prompt: favorite historical romance series. My favorite historical romance series is The Highland Brides series by Lynsay Sands. After Julie Garwood, she was the other author that started my journey into historical romance. This series is what really got me into Highlander romances. . . . My favorite type of series is when it revolves around a family and everyone starts falling in love so then you can see past couples in the other books and not have to miss them too much after finishing their story. . . . Most people guessed the book in my last post but I’ll still reveal that the stepback was from Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. I just so happen to stumble on this book while going through my big pile of historical romances. When I read the back of the book, I was like NO WAY IT’S CAM!! They showed some of his POV in Devil in Winter and I absolutely fell in love with him.
