Most of my HR love affairs are written by this author. But like each community, there are members, relations we would banish, this book is one of those. This feels like the worst kind of betrayal. This reminds me of worst kind of disappointment. Where should I start? Where does it end? I don't have any proper answer for that. According to the first Hathaway book, it was supposed to be filled with angst, longing and sweet heartaches. But what I found is simply sad. I loved the build up of Kev and Win in that book and even though I have a huge soft spot for Cam but I was so eager to get to know Kev. But I just didn't care about him, his history, family or his torn heart or brooding self. He is not enough and after everything that happened to Win, she deserved so so so much more than what she settled for. For the first time, this is a Kleypas book that made me feel nothing. I was half engaged with the plot and just grieving for the lose of charms. Enough about me, let's talk about you. What is your least favorite book from the favorite author? I should have taken a deep breath to calm my stubborn heart and relaxed, should have had faith on the lyrical compositions of the author. I was drifting from book to book, trying to find something, anything to actually start and then continue till the end. This was it. This is what I enjoy most while reading romances. The real life struggles they endure, to actually start and then continue the relationship till the end, in the properly crafted fantasy world. This was it. Annabelle, one of the four wallflowers in this series, is in the hunt for a suitable candidate for marriage. She needs him badly to get out of the disastrous wreck, that is her life and she needs him exactly right now. Simon is disgustingly rich and ruthless creature, despite hasn't climbed the social cycle, yet. He is inconsiderate of others feelings, walks like he owns the house and each time he speaks, he reeks of alpha agendas. No, I don't like him. He couldn't curve my heart out with all his delicious seduction techniques with all his sizzling attractive physical features. Or at least, he didn't. Even when he was deliberately scrambling her brain and had her on edge with all the temptation and the underlying warmth of the promise for extended future. The transition between that him to this him was not smooth, it took time, patience and the dedicated craving for finding the one and fighting with the world and all it's delusional glamorous society. That is when, I caved in too, had controversial thoughts about him. I accepted that differences are beautiful. Sometimes that is all I must have, something exceptionally inconvenient. That is what life is all about - the relationships and the magnificent adventure it takes. Enough about me, let's talk about you. What is your most anticipated historical romance? Lisa Kleypas "As Quatro Estações do Amor" uma das séries mais reconhecidas da autora. 📚 Li através de trocas no SKOOB e acabei ficando sem os livros, mas as histórias ficaram na memória, até que mais recentemente a Editora Arqueiro fez o lançamento de sua edição mais econômica. 📘 A coleção Pop Chic, possui um tamanho um pouco menor, papel um pouco mais fino, mas com letras confortáveis de se ler e o mais importante, valor acessível para quem deseja o livro físico. 📙 Todos são excelentes, recomendo a leitura da série completa, mas deixo meu coraçãozinho para o primeiro e último volume. ❤️ Leitura para aquecer seu coração e imaginação neste inverno. .
