It has been a number of years since I acquired a new tattoo. I’ve been thinking of this new piece since I was on retreat at the beginning of the year. • • The Hrih syllable is in Tibetan text and I chose it because of reading “The Lives and Liberation of Princess Mandarava” - a little known Buddha who just happened to not be embodied as a man. • • And the lotus? Well, “No mud, no lotus.” • • Thanks to @deathbynewyork for turning my imagined dharma art into full blown, totally gorgeous, vibrant reality.
