cho nayu was born on november 12, 1997 to two teenage parents who were definitely not ready to have a child.
her dad left her and her mum just before she turned one, something about deciding that he didnāt want to be tied down to something he wasnāt prepared for, sheās resented him ever since.
as a result her mother has been super protective over nayu to the point where she found it suffocating to live in her own home.
nayuās mum pretty much forced violin on her seeing as she had to give up her dreams to have her and tries to live vicariously through her daughter and thus nayuās aversion to classical music and rebellious nature was born and a lot of drinking, partying and tattoos later sheād found the perfect alter-ego to her motherās depiction of her.
growing up she kept her love of music but focused it more on alt-pop, rock and rap, choosing to secretly learn the guitar and going out to auditions for various companies in order to live out some far-out dream of being a singer.
when she was 17 her mother found out what had been going on and the two had a massive fight resulting in nayu leaving home and having to live with a good friend until a company had finally accepted her.
after joining luminate, and later solar, sheād found herself enthused by rap the most and is lowkey displeased about solar pushing her into a more vocal position as of recent.
personality-wise iād say nayu is definitely an extrovert, making most of her choices on the whim and mostly for her own good, leaving her to appear more selfish than she is but she does what she does to ensure that she lives the life she wants after being smothered for most of her life.

basically she bottles up her feelings and thinks that other peopleās emotions and needs are more important that hers.
sora is the first person she is managing since she joined so!ar. so itās clear that jaeyi wants to do the absolute best.
she wants to be the friend sora can lean on even on the days that jaeyi is feeling overwhelmed with her.
she is patient with sora and is able to hold it in, but the bottle might burst one day and all the unspoken words and just negative thoughts that have slipped into jaeyiās mind more than once will just come flowing out.
a little fact is that she carries around a personal journal to keep track of what sora needs and it basically helps her be sane.Ā Ā
