#hqbb2018

For @hqbb ‘18 I did art for two fics; the first one is Sunset Glow by @idontevenlogic! Please check it out on ao3! It’s an incredible fic that I feel really lucky to have drawn for; the vibe and atmosphere are so cool and it seriously had me hooked the entire time! The characters are all super well written and interesting as well. This scene in particular is one of my favorites and it stuck out in my head as the clear winner to draw! I don’t want to give too much away or ramble on too much, but you should definitely give the fic a shot, I can’t recommend it enough! And thank you to @idontevenlogic for working so hard and writing such an awesome fic, it was a pleasure to work with you! 

Participating in my first ever HQBB has been fantastic! The mods have been so hardworking and patient, thank you so much! 

I had the pleasure of illustrating part of a HQBB 2018 KageTsukki fic called Cambrian Catastrophe by munch_muffin! It’s not finished yet, but dude, what’s cuter than giving your crush a piece of amber while trespassing in the paleontology exhibit? Maybe I can finish the rest of the illustrations that I thumbnailed for this, one day! Also big thanks to the HQBB mods for being patient and gentle with reminders!

Since it’s a fic involving music, I tried to do something different from what I usually do and design an album cover. While it didn’t end how I initially thought, I learned a lot from it. It was a nice experience :)

Summary: When these memories were followed by very specific ones on the precise shade of Hajime’s eyes, the way his smile got slightly crooked and his nose crinkled when he was feeling particularly happy, or how he would smell curiously of citrus in winter, Tooru had started questioning whether his feelings for his best friend were wholly platonic. From then on it hadn’t been hard for him to guess the nature and depth of his affections for Hajime, and he realised then that he would never be satisfied with just friendship. It was a simple truth he couldn’t deny. He wanted – needed – more from their relationship. After he realised that he gave himself some time to pine for Hajime like the lovesick fool he apparently was – he was self-aware enough to admit it to himself, but Hajime must never know –, before he’d decided to confess. However, that was much easier said than done. Or: Oikawa is unable to keep his feelings for his best friend to himself any longer, so he decides to invite Iwaizumi to spend the upcoming winter break with him in Chichibu, where he goes every year to help his grandmother manage her ryokan in preparation for the Night Festival.

Finally... long live the #oikawararepaircaptainsquad2018 ✌️

Also thanks to the hqbb mods letting me be a part of it. I really enjoyed being part of this project and maybe (hopefully) next year I can sign for it up again.!

hey hey I did a thing for the Haikyuu!! Big Bang (as well as being a mod for the event, because you know that i love to be choked to death by responsibilities and work). This illustrates @cupofkoushi fic, Breadcrumbs (<< go read it).
