tsukishima always hated how you smelt after you two broke up.

he hated the fact that you never changed it, and still used the same body wash that managed to catch him off guard walking passed you in the hallways and almost gagging on the suppressed memories that he buried in the back of his head to never be touched.

tsukishima hated that every time he thought of you, he remembered scolding you for not bringing a jacket while taking his off while you smiled at him and thanking him afterwards. saying, “i’ll do better, okay?” even though he knew that was bullshit because you always did some silly shit like that on purpose.

tsukishima hated hearing your laughs in his memories that he muffled with his music on full volume. he despised the idea of you staying the night because you two were studying late and him waking up to soft laughs, you smiling and saying, “i knew you were so soft to me.” since one of his hands were tucked on your waist and holding you close.

he remembered every curve of your body, how your hand fit in his and he used to trace small dinosaurs on your thighs or how you crawled in his lap if he was studying too much. tsukishima would repeat how he hated when you did that as if it were a prayer, but looking at it now, he’d do anything to even play with the hem of your shirt one more time before a game out of nervousness.

tsukishima missed your screams from the stands, or the days you were quiet but tentatively watching from the bleachers during practice. he missed when he came and saw you after games and how you’d always preach that you were oh, so proud of your boyfrie-ex boyfriend, now.

“fuck-you smell like shit,” tsukishima’s mumbled under his breath after accidentally brushing into you at a coffee shop he didn’t see you post at on your instagram.

“hey, man, what the fuck did you just say?” who was this? tsukishima gaped, “they smell like shit.” he repeated in the same monotone voice. a grin cracked at his mouth, “you’re... you’re semi! from the shiratorizawa game, wow, is this who you’re going out with now? oh, god, you could do so much better.” tsukishima scoffed. to be honest, he didn’t want it to end up this way. tsukishima was ready to buy you a coffee and talk.

“who? like you? because that’d be another one-sided, shit relationship, tsukishima.” you snapped, your hand was shaking, he could see it from the way you were holding your coffee.

silence.

“it’s my cologne dip shit,” semi shoved tsukishima before grabbing your hand and hurrying you along.

you smelt different, and tsukishima hated that.
