I am at an age
when you really start to notice time.
You sometimes realize how times have changed,
sometimes you donât , and thatâs awkward.
You have lost friends; most drifted away,
some dumped you,others were dumped by you.

But every now and then you lose track,
when youâre in this nice cosy pub
so lively,noisy, Christmas-crowded
and you remember her,
the friend you used to meet here,
your bestie; you even look for her.
Suddenly it dawns on you sheâs nowhere any more
she died of a cancer when she was your age,
the perfect friend,mother,worker,wife.
You even message someone who confirms it:
âYes,itâs going to be six years...â
Already.
And Iâm always complaining pubs change too often
in this city.
Well, this one doesnât.
On this day exactly 4 years ago, I walked up this track that lead to the ruins of Rougham Hall. I had no clue that in the future Iâd be going up & down this track on a regular basis. Amazing... I really needed this reminder today. In 2012, I was told I was pre-diabetic, obese, high risk of a lot of health issues, single and stuck in my ways. Now only 4 years later, I've turned my weight around, kicked pre-diabetes ass, enjoyed a healthy way of life, and I'm looking forward to becoming a mother with my husband.
