Started watching Vox Machina because of a scene that came up of Vex and Percy on my Instagram, and I've just gotten to season 3 episode 3. You could say one is VERY please to see them together at last.
saw a comment (against my will) how Taehyung tries to “be sooooo edgy and different and has zero charisma and is so overrated” referring to his photobook and the “cringe” videos in the exhibition.
And tbh I felt upset for one minute but then I was just laughing cause imagine being this miserable. Imagine not feeling intrigued and proud seeing a k-artist this way. God forbid an idol wants to break free from what is expected and what fits the mold. And gets & wants to express himself and doesn’t really care about what others think or make of it?
Taehyung’s light has been tried to be dimmed for so long, they tried to keep him small, not stand out too much. Even though it was evident that he’s someone who is meant to break out, step into the light and define his own meaning of being an idol, of growing into himself, of living his authenticity.
He never shied away from it, he never tried to hide himself. He has always and more so with age & experiences, been his unapologetic self.
Idols of idols for a reason. And one of the most beloved idols & people in Korea & the industry.
Being himself has always and will always be bis biggest advantage, strength and what sets him apart from 99% of his peers ❤️
I think Sherlock Holmes is actually surprisingly good with children. It catches Watson off guard the first time he sees Holmes interacting with children because he assumed Holmes would be awkward or uncomfortable with them, but he's not.
Maybe not actual infants, but, say 4 or 5 and older. A lot of people have trouble dealing with kids because they're not always able to say what's wrong or what they need and it can be intensely frustrating, but Holmes is pretty good at deducing why little Lizzy is cranky (the dress her mother made her wear over her protest is scratchy and pinching her and too hot) or why little Johnny is scared (adults shouting upset him).
He speaks to them like actual people and listens when they speak to him instead of engaging in that baby talk nonsense people keep up way past an age where kids are fully aware they're being condescended to. He knows they often speak the truth as they understand it in their limited experiences and knowledge and can extrapolate what's actually going on.
He actually doesn't mind their company either, often finding them less frustrating than adults who have far less excuse for ignorance and who dumped their imagination and curiosity about the world years ago and are stubbornly set in their ways
He has no trouble recruiting his Irregulars because they flock to him willingly. He respects and trusts them, and they respect and trust him in turn. He comes to them when he needs help, and they come to him as well when they need something, and you'd better bet he helps, even if it's boring, even if they don't have so much as a shilling to offer in return. Those are his children, dammit.
