44. Favorite one-shot: tie between the second Honey Heist and the Kobolds and Catacombs one-shot (I know nothing of the source material but Liam’s speech to the stoned troggs is phenomenal). I also think if they’d had a little more time for Song of the Lorelei it would be my favorite and I really like it as is, it just got rushed a bit by necessity towards the end.

most of these Takes are actually respectful or just normal fandom content, so its not like they’re Problematic necessarily on their own - its just the H O R D E of theories that are all basically just copy/pasted that appears anytime Essek emotes something other than etherealness that can get old really quickly. and i do honestly believe there is a touch of “this male/male-aligned character had an Emotion, oh no, time to Be Suspicious” involved, like what happens with Caleb/Liam almost every week, and what used to happen to Fjord more often but still occasionally crops up. Its not everybody who posts theories about it, though - a lot of them have never warmed up to Essek and that’s valid. I just very much disagree.
