Okay.
So, finally, I have Netflix. I got it for Sandman, after much waffling, and there's lots of other stuff on there I haven't seen and actually want to see. I am enjoying the shows. But the Netflix interface is the most horrid thing I’ve ever encountered in my life.
no borders or neutral spots to rest your mouse
everything autoplays. EVERYTHING. The fucking NOISE.
no way to view a list of episodes for the show you want to watch. its main page or theater. you gotta strap on hip waders and wade though everything every time you change your mind. what.
no way to see how many episodes there are in a show
no way to skip or pick from a list of episodes
everything is a sidescrolling list of giant images. that autoplay if you're not fast enough. again, no place to rest your mouse.
user interface controls are hidden or nonexistent.
no way to remove stuff you DON'T want.
just. augh.
It’s the worst and I hate it. Worse than Hulu, back when I had Hulu, and that’s saying something. No one in the history of ever has ever wanted a site to loudly autoplay random shit at you the instant you load a page. surely there are accessibility controls SOMEWHERE.
Does anyone here on tunglr have any resources - browser addons, mods, whatever, that make that site even vaguely tolerable? Halp.
