“Well, well, there’s a face I haven’t seen in a long time. Here I thought you were avoiding me.” If the Horseman had their way, Cain suspected it would have been much longer before they ran into each other again. But it was inevitable that they would run into each other. After all, Cain had sent more than his fair share of people right into Death’s arms--or at least the arms of their reapers. “If you’re here...well, that usually that means things are about to get exciting.”

It was quite interesting how this quaint, unassuming little town had become a haven to those who were more than human. Merrick had been observing the place for some time now, and while he was certain he could use it to his advantage, he had not yet decided how. The other non-human beings in the town could either be helpful or hindrances, but the humans too could be useful. So when he found that Tia was in town, he decided to have a word with her. 

The silly festival was not exactly the ideal backdrop for such a conversation, but when needs must. "My dear Tia, as much as I admire your work, I would appreciate it if you don't assist too many humans here in leaving the land of the living. At least for the time being," he said with a rather forced smile, "I do so enjoy their extreme emotions, and I would be quite sad if their numbers were greatly reduced."

“And I just keep running but the space in front of me is endless and I don’t even know why I’m running but for some reason I can’t stop or I don’t want to stop. It doesn’t feel like nightmare. I’m not scared. Then all of the sudden there’s a person who I never remember the face off and then I’m falling backwards and I wake up before I hit what I assume is water.” Amelia explained as she sat back, tea in hand. “My mind... so odd sometimes.”
